Mangalam flours

Multigrain atta and millet flours.

Mangalam flours are milled from whole grains, millets and pulses and packed in Bhadohi, U.P.: multigrain, jowar, bajra, ragi, barley, besan, chickpea, rice and wheat flour. Each pouch names its grain, so you know exactly what goes into your roti.

The library

Every grain, named on the pouch.

No mystery blends. Each flour is one grain or pulse, and our multigrain lists all seven of its grains on the pack.

      Flour questions

Good to know before you knead.

What is in Mangalam multigrain flour?
Seven grains, as printed on the pouch: barley, sorghum, chickpea, maize, pearl millet, finger millet and wheat.
      Are millet flours gluten-free?
Jowar, bajra, ragi and rice are naturally gluten-free grains. Our flours are milled where wheat is also handled, so they are not certified gluten-free. If you have coeliac disease, please choose a certified gluten-free product.
What is the difference between gram flour and chickpea flour?
Both come from chickpeas. Our gram flour is the everyday besan for pakode, kadhi and ladoo; our chickpea flour is labelled separately as chana besan and suits chilla, dhokla and light batters.
      How should I store flour?
Move the flour to an airtight container once opened and keep it somewhere cool and dry. Use it before the date printed on the pouch.
      Which pack sizes are available?
Most flours come in 500 g and 1 kg pouches. Message us for current stock and larger orders.
